Friday BBQ

Hello EWBers!

Yesterday’s Member Learning ran a bit late and we had a lot of members leave before I could do a BBQ signup. Last week’s barbecue was an outstanding success and in order to keep that trend going I (Bryce) need your help! If you have any spare time on Friday to come lend some time to our fundraiser please reply to BGeeraert@gmail.com with a signup time so I can make sure we have enough volunteers for the whole day. Here are the signup times:

9:25
10:25
11:25
12:25

We need 3 people on hand for each hour-long time slot for the BBQ to go smoothly. Any help would be appreciated, and you are welcome to a free burger as a thank you from EWB!

Thanks everyone,

Bryce Geeraert

This week in EWB

?Welcome back to another year of EWB!

If you’re fresh to EWB, wanting to find out more, or wondering how to get involved be sure to check out one of our two intro meetings on Thursday (September 18th): 1pm in Physics 103 and 6pm in Physics 107. Free pizza will be provided at the 6pm meeting.

If you can’t make it out on Thursday, never fear! Our regular Member Learning meetings start next week.  We’ll be meeting on Tuesdays at 6pm in Agriculture 1E79. This coming Tuesday, Alanna Howell will be presenting on her summer working as a Junior Fellow in Ghana with EWB’s Agriculture Value Chains team. If you want to learn more about Ghana, EWB’s work overseas, or our volunteer sending program, this is a presentation you don’t want to miss!

And lastly, the barbeque is back! Every Friday until exams, you can find us outside the lounge, grilling delicious burgers from 10am until 1pm. $5 gets you two burgers, and if you have a spare hour we can always use a hand.

See you soon,
Erin
