Member Learning Reminder

Member Learning today is called Bridge to Mwanza.  It includes a case study on a district in Malawi and some of the infrastructure dilemmas the people are faced with.   There is a small group activity that will be included.  Member Learning will be in Agriculture 2E25 at 6 pm.

Michael Zelmer, Director of Communications for Fairtrade Canada is going to answer your questions about Fairtrade certification. What is it? How does it work? And all those other questions you’ve never dared to ask.


He’s also going to talk about an exciting initiative; our quest to see the University of Saskatchewan gain Fair Trade Campus status. Learn what it is, why it’s a good thing, and what you can do to help.

Member Learning

Take a break from studying and report writing and come to this week’s member learning! Payton , next year’s president, will be leading the session this week. He will be doing a presentation on agricultural subsidies. We’ll look into the pros and cons on the subject. Thursday, March 1 at 6 pm in Agriculture 2E25. Hope to see you there.


Exec Applications

Application deadlines have changed for Exec positions. They now look like such:

Applications due: Friday March 9th at 11:59pm

Selection Meeting: Monday March 12th at 5:30pm 

If you have any interest in a position, don’t hesitate to ask questions about it!
