Available EWB Workshops

The U of S Engineers Without Borders chapter is happy to present a number of interactive, engaging presentations to your class, including:

  • Water for the World
An exciting, hands-on workshop that teaches students about the importance of drinking water around the world. The workshop includes a fun interactive activity where students build water filters out of pop bottles and simple supplies (all provided), and in doing so learn about the differences in access to safe water in different parts of the world.
  • Food for Thought (new!)
This workshop focuses on the importance of access to food, and on the major issue of global hunger. It also includes a new hands-on activity of husking and separating rice using elementary tools, and presents some of the challenges facing poor or subsistence farmers around the world.
  • Return Overseas Volunteer Presentation (new!)
Our University of Saskatchewan chapter includes several members who have worked overseas in Africa on summer fellowship programs with EWB. They're very excited to share their stories and experiences from overseas with Saskatoon students, and this presents a unique chance for your students to get a first-hand perspective into life on the ground and development work in Africa.

Book Presentations

  • There is no limit on the number of presentations we're willing to give at each school - feel free to book as many as you'd like!
  • If required, we're generally able to provide presentations in up to two different classes at the same time of day.
  • To save travel time, we would ideally run all of the presentations at your school on the same day. However if a certain class is only on a specific day of the week, let us know in the "Other info" box.
  • Click the blue link below to book more presentations; if you clicked it an extra time, you can just leave the last form blank.
